We wish success to the newly launched website www.foster-carers.org.uk.
They aim to recruit people who are thinking about fostering.
It is the fostering agency of the charity Father Hudson's Society.
They want to hear from people in the West Midlands area who could foster children.

Placement News
Adoption Focus is getting lots of referrals from social workers seeking adoptive families for children. As we go into the New Year we will have placed 29 children in new families.
Many more children are waiting for adopters to be their new parents.
Our social workers work with adopters to make sure that waiting children find the right home.

Beth - New Staff
Adoption Focus is delighted to announce the appointment of Beth Seeley to the social work team. She is assessing adoptive families, and supporting them into their adoptive parenting.
"I have recently joined Adoption Focus from a background of working in a fostering and Local Authority environment. I've always been interested in adoption and look forward to supporting adopters with these transferable skills and being part of a charitable organisation."

Happy Retirement Pauline
We would like to say a fond farewell to Pauline Hope who will retire in December. She has spent her professional life in adoption making and supporting countless new families and we will miss her.
Here she is at a recent team event helping us to plan the coming year's training. We wish her and Ian all the best for the future.
