We are really pleased to announce that Adoption Focus has recently been awarded £10,000 in funding from the government's Coronavirus Community Support Fund.

This additional funding, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, will be used to expand the adoption support we offer to our families at a time when the Covid-19 crisis has led to increased levels of upheaval and anxiety.

Among the additional services we’ll be offering are:

  • Additional video calls/catch ups
  • More out of hours/crisis managements services
  • Reassurance and strategies for managing behaviour and anxiety
  • Additional resources on a variety of subjects, including home-schooling, trauma, mental health and non-violent resistance

Adoption Focus CEO Anna Sharkey said:

"We’re extremely grateful to the government’s Coronavirus Community Support Fund for this generous contribution to our charity.

This has been given in recognition of the work our team has been doing to support our adopters and their children during this current, challenging time. The additional funding will help us to ensure that this support is always there for our families whenever it is needed."
