Donation Received from Charity Walk for Peace Adoption Focus is delighted to have received a donation of £500 from The Charity Walk for Peace. Representatives of this excellent charity visited us to find out more about the work of Adoption Focus and explain more about their success in promoting peace and integration and raising huge amounts of money for numerous British charities. A cheque was then presented to our CEO Anna Sharkey and Jo Lee, our Head of Business Development. Anna said, “We are very grateful to Charity Walk for Peace for visiting us and telling us more about the outstanding work of their charity. As a charity ourselves, we were also delighted to have been presented with a generous donation which will be used to help us fund the work we do to improve the lives of children and families. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Charity Walk for Peace and thank them for their support and interest in Adoption Focus.” Charity Walk for Peace was established in the UK by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association. The charity’s mission is to help society, to support charitable endeavours, to work to secure the common good, to demonstrate loyalty to country and nation, and to defend the dignity of mankind. The strategy of the organisation is to raise funds and donate those funds to established local, regional, national, and international charities to help the most deserving of people. To date, Charity Walk for Peace has raised £4.2 million and supported 364 UK registered charities with donations. Among the methods used to raise money is The Charity Walk for Peace event, which this year will be a five-mile sponsored walk around Royal Windsor Great Park on 29th April. Adoption Focus will be getting involved in this event, with a team taking part in the fun on the day.
