We're very grateful to have received a grant of £1000 from The Community Foundation for Staffordshire. These funds came from the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal and will go towards our adoption support services in Staffordshire. This will enable us to continue and adapt our Adoption Support services during this changing and challenging climate, supporting our adoptive families during the Coronavirus outbreak.

As a charity supporting hundreds of adoptive families, Adoption Focus knows that parenting children who’ve had a difficult start in life means that families often need extra support from our specialist staff. In these very difficult times, they need us even more.
With an anticipated increase in requests for support, it's vital that our dedicated team can continue to work with our families and give them all the advice and resources that are so desperately needed.
This extra funding will allow us to develop and expand our services to include:
  • Telephone and video call support for families in crisis
  • Electronic resource packs for both parents and children
  • Virtual training and support sessions
  • Educational resources that can be used to supplement home-schooling activities.

All donations during this time will enable us to provide even more support to already vulnerable and traumatised children, as they face even more anxiety and upheaval during the Covid-19 crisis. With our supporters help, we can ensure we meet this unprecedented demand.
