Adoption Focus shortlisted for Chambers of Commerce award

We are delighted to announce that Adoption Focus has once again been shortlisted for a Chambers of Commerce award. Last year we were named as the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Charity of the Year, and this year we’ve been nominated in the category of ‘Excellence in Technology & Innovation’ by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

This nomination is in recognition of our rapid transition to digital service delivery at the start of the pandemic, as well as other new initiatives including our work with Comic Relief’s Tech for Good Build 2021, to develop an online tool to help our adoptive families support each other through a network of peers.

The shortlisted organisations for the awards were chosen by a judging panel including Inez Brown (president, Birmingham Law Society), Stuart Thomas (head of BBC Midlands), Ian Reid (CEO, Birmingham 2022), Kelly Haslehurst (marketing director, NEC Group) and Jodh Dhesi (CEO, The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham).

Winners will be announced online at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s annual awards on Tuesday 27 July. More details here.
