Once again, an Adoption Focus team joined with hundreds of people representing charities from across the UK to take part in The Charity Walk for Peace. The latest walk was on Saturday, 26th October in West Park, Wolverhampton and participants braved relentless, heavy rain to complete the course.

Staff members and their families got involved in the walk to raise money for support services for our adopters and their children and we’re delighted to say that we reached our £500 fundraising target! Thank you to everyone who has donated to this appeal.

Adoption Focus Fundraising Lead, Mandi Hine, who was one of our walkers on the day said:

“This was another fun, inspiring event and we’re really pleased to have been invited to get involved again. Despite the weather, everyone enjoyed the day and the well-earned hot lunch afterwards. Most importantly, we raised hundreds of pounds which will be put to good use further enhancing services for our families.”

The Charity Walk for Peace fundraiser appeal will be kept open until the end of November and, not only will more donations be very welcome, they’ll also be worth double. Every penny we raise in sponsorship will be generously match-funded by the event’s organisers the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders, up to £2000, making it a great way to make a one-off donation to our charity.
