Adoption Focus is again supporting LGBTQ+ Adoption & Fostering Week, which takes place between 2nd and 8th March 2026. The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘Now’s the time’ and encourages anyone who has ever wondered whether adoption or fostering could be for them to start exploring now. Now is the time because the need for loving, supportive homes for many vulnerable children has never been greater.
A key focus of the campaign, delivered by New Family Social in partnership with adoption and fostering agencies across the country, is reaching LGBTQ+ people who may have dismissed adoption or fostering as something for ‘later’ – or for someone else entirely. ‘Now’s the time’ encourages them to see exploration as a valid first step, even if starting a family still feels a long way off.

During the campaign, Adoption Focus will be sharing the experiences of our our LGBTQ+ adopters and explaining the lifelong support we provide for our families. We’ll also be inviting potential adopters to join us to find out more at one of our regular online and in-person information events. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to ask questions and access clear, honest information with no pressure to commit.
