Support before adoption

From your first call to Adoption Focus, our adoption social workers give you the time and professional support you need to move forward with your adoption plans. Your social worker will make sure that you have the training and support you need to prepare for adoptive parenting.

Expert preparation

Our preparation training is provided by specialist adoption social workers and experienced adopters. This means that it is relevant, real and professionally delivered.

A loving family

Children who need new families are referred to Adoption Focus by Local Authorities across England and Wales. Once you’re approved, your allocated social worker will help you find the right child or children for you.

Support after adoption

Adoption Focus will continue to support you and your family after adoption. We have a dedicated adoption support team offering offer a diverse programme of high quality training and workshops including Therapeutic Play, Managing Teenage Behaviour, Life Story Work and specific support for families and friends of our adopters.
