About Adoption Focus

Your family. Their future. Adoption Focus is an independent charity and one of the largest adoption agencies in the UK. Whatever your background or situation, we’re here to help you to adopt, and we’re actively recruiting. If you live in or around Central England and you’re considering adoption, our friendly, expert team would love to meet you and help you to become an adoptive family. Adopt with us.

We were attracted to the professionalism of the Agency and the outstanding Ofsted rating. Adoption Focus is local to us and after attending an information event, we were pleased by the dedication and support on offer. We have experienced an excellent level of support throughout the process from our Social Worker.

The Adoption Focus main office is in Marston Green, Birmingham, and we work with adopters and prospective adopters across the whole central region. We have staff based throughout central England to work with and support adopters and prospective adopters.

A Friendly and Professional Team

The team at Adoption Focus is committed to providing a friendly, caring and professional adoption process. We are a registered Adoption Agency, and we deliver a comprehensive range of services, both pre and post-adoption, to children and families. We’re experienced adoption specialists who’ll walk you through the process from start to end – and beyond.

An Outstanding Adoption Provider

Like all adoption agencies, Adoption Focus is regulated by Ofsted and we have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted by Ofsted at every inspection we’ve ever had, most recently in 2024. Ofsted say:

  • Achieving positive outcomes for children is at the heart of what this agency does.
  • Adopters find assessment positive because of skilled staff who support and guide them throughout the process.
  • Children make outstanding progress. They flourish in the care of their adoptive families, who enable them to have a wide range of experiences and new opportunities that enrich their lives.
  • Adoption support is easily accessible and well promoted. Adopters receive a quick response from a highly trained and dedicated staff team who assess and meet the needs of adopters and children effectively.
  • Early permanence is integral to the agency and both the adoption and fostering managers share the same passion and work closely together.

Early Permanence through Triangle Project

The early permanence pathway to adoption is a more child-focused pathway, which sees adopters approved as foster carers as well as adopters. This means that children can be placed with foster carers who can go on to become their adoptive parents. The aim of this is to speed up the children’s journey through care and minimise disruption from repeated moves to different families.

We provide the early permanence approach to adoption through Triangle Project, an Independent Fostering Agency operated by Family Society, which also operates Adoption Focus.

Triangle Project Mission Statement

Triangle Project aims to enable children from care to form lifelong, supportive and loving relationships with adults at the earliest opportunity through the provision of Fostering for Adoption and Concurrency placements, and related services.
