Colin runs the Brighton Marathon!

Adoption Focus adopter Colin has signed up to run the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for our adoption support service. This was originally due to be happening in 2020 but was unfortunately postponed and then cancelled altogether. The 2022 Brighton Marathon is now scheduled for 10th April and Colin has once again trained to compete and very kindly chosen to donate his sponsorship money to Adoption Focus.

Colin says, "In 2017 my wife and I adopted a cheeky, smiley little baby through Adoption Focus. In the years since she has made us very happy and very proud. Adoption Focus were with us through the whole journey and afterwards, and kept us going through every high and every low.

It would mean a lot  to me if you could support me through the marathon by donating through my page and to help Adoption Focus with their mission to find loving and stable homes for children that need them."

We're really grateful to Colin for supporting us and for his resilience and commitment to taking part in this event. Please support his fundraiser if you can.

The Brighton Marathon Weekend is an exciting three-day event that takes place each April in buzzing Brighton.

Over 12,000 runners take part in the marathon every year, enjoying a course that starts in Preston Park at 9.45 am, snakes its way through the city centre, along the glorious seafront and finishes at the iconic Madeira Drive in front of thousands of cheering spectators.

The course bests for the men and women are well under 2:10 and 2:29, making it the second-fastest marathon in the UK. It is also the second-largest marathon in the UK and eighth-largest in Europe.

Best of luck, Colin!
