Blogger Jamie wins National Adoption Week award The National Adoption Week Awards 2017 took place last night at the beautiful Foundling Museum in London and we're delighted to report that Adoption Focus adopter and blogger Jamie Beaglehole was awarded the title of Adoption Blog of the Year for his fantastic website daddyanddad.co.uk/. This award was very well-deserved. Jamie has been blogging about adoption consistently for over three years in his candid and informative way with a focus on parenting siblings and adopting as a same-sex couple. He has also written irreverent guest blogs to advocate adoption and raise awareness of adoption issues for charities including Adoption Focus and New Family Social, particularly around National Adoption Week and LGBT Adoption Week and has contributed articles on adoption to publications including Gay Times. Jamie was presented with his award by adoptive mother of twins and Olympic gold medallist, Tessa Sanderson CBE and by journalist, broadcaster and adopted person, James O'Brien. Many congratulations from Adoption Focus, Jamie! You can read some of Jamie's guest posts for Adoption Focus in our Adopters' Blogs section.
