Adoption UK is currently running an online survey of adopters and prospective adopters with the aim of capturing a snapshot of adopters' experiences.

The last survey run by the Banbury-based charity in 2012 led to the production of a report which was influential in a string of policy developments, culminating in the introduction of the Adoption Support Fund in England.

For the current survey, entitled 'It takes a village to raise a child 2016’, Adoption UK is inviting feedback from parents, local authorities and service providers from across the UK.

Adoption UK CEO Hugh Thornbery CBE said “The voice of our members helps us to lobby government so I’d encourage all of our adoptive community, from across the UK, to set aside just 30 minutes to help transform the lives of other families, for the better.”

The survey is running until December 2016. To read more and find links to the survey, please visit Adoption UK's website.
